The Manatee-Sarasota Dental Hygienists’ Association, Inc (MSDHA) is a component of the Florida Dental Hygiene Association (FDHA), a constituent of the American Dental Hygienists’ Association (ADHA), a non-profit organization.

As dental hygienists, we are a community of professionals devoted to the prevention of disease and the promotion and improvement of the public’s health. We are preventative oral health professionals who provide educational, clinical, and therapeutic services to the public. We strive to live meaningful, productive, satisfying lives that simultaneously serve us, our profession, our society, and the world. Our actions, behaviors, and attitudes are consistent with our commitment to public service.

As an organization we are providing educational courses for licensure renewal and access to updates within the profession of dental hygiene, serving and representing the voice and vision of registered dental hygienists in the Manatee and Sarasota counties.

The strength of our profession is reflected by our growing membership. We encourage all hygienists to view membership in your professional association as an essential component of your career as a registered dental hygienist within your community.

Our mission is to increase access to oral heath care: increase professional recognition and growth of the dental hygienist; increase the public awareness of the profession of dental hygiene, increase membership and participation in MSDHA and provide a stable financial base for MSDHA.

The profession of dental hygiene is in a continuous state of Growth and Change.The direction it takes affects every dental hygienist and the patients they serve. A dental hygienists' professional association is the single most influential force in the determining the future of dental hygiene. MSDHA is an instrument for its members as they strive to provide quality care to the public

Mandatory Courses just in time before the end of the biennium

MSDHA is proud to announce Cathy Robinson Pickett as our guest presentor for our Continuing Education Program. She is a dynamic and entertaining speaker. She has been honored by PEOPLE Magazine, By the United States as a Point of Light and numerous other organizations for her tireless advocacy work.

The seminar will be held at the State College of Florida-Lakewood Ranch campus on Friday January 20th from 9am-2pm.
